Manipur Technical University (MTU) offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering and management. The university currently provides B.Tech degrees in five engineering streams: Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Each B.Tech program has an intake of 45 students per year and aims to provide quality education, research opportunities, and industry exposure.
In 2021, MTU also started an MBA program with specializations in Finance, Marketing, Human Resource, Production & Operation, and Rural & Agri Business management. The 2-year MBA program has an intake of 45 students and focuses on developing socially responsible, innovative, and result-oriented leaders.

Lateral Entry Admission to B.Tech Programs
Manipur Technical University (MTU) invites online and offline applications from eligible candidates for admission to the following B.Tech programs through Lateral Entry for the Academic Session 2024-25:

Application Mode:
- Online: Interested candidates may register themselves at www.mtu.ac.in from 22nd August, 2024 onwards.
- Offline: Candidates may also visit MTU and collect physical copies of the prescribed application forms during office hours on working days from 22nd August, 2024 onwards.

Age Limit:
- Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 31.07.1998 are eligible for admission.
- For OBC candidates, the upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years. For SC/ST and Person with Disability (PWD) candidates, the upper limit is relaxed by 5 years.
- The date of birth recorded in the Secondary Education Board Certificate will be considered final.

a. Diploma Holders: Candidates must have passed a minimum 3-year (2-year for Lateral Entry) diploma examination in any branch of Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates). OR
b. B.Sc. Graduates: Candidates must have passed B.Sc. degree from a UGC-recognized university with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates). They must also have passed the 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject. OR
c. B.Voc. / D.Voc. Graduates: Candidates must have passed B.Voc. / 3-year D.Voc. in the same or allied sector.
