Salesian College of Higher Education, Dimapur: Admission

Admission to Salesian College of Higher Education, Dimapur follows a simple six-step process. Firstly, applicants must log on to the college website, and fill out the admission application form, paying a fee of Rs. 300 to the college office. The next step involves submitting the completed application form along with the required documents.

Candidates who have secured a minimum of 45% marks in their qualifying examination are eligible for spot admission. Once admitted, students must pay the college fees and obtain their college ID card. They are also required to place an order for their college uniform. The admission process concludes with an orientation program held from June 30th to July 1st, 2023, which all newly admitted students must attend.

Each application must be accompanied by specific documents, including the NBSE registration card (for students from NBSE) or migration certificate (for applicants from outside Nagaland Board), self-attested photocopies of HSSLC and HSLC examination mark sheets and admit cards, birth certificate, and Schedule Tribe/Community certificate.

To be eligible for admission to the First Year Undergraduate Program (FYUGP) at Salesian College of Higher Education, Dimapur, students must have passed the 10+2 examination or any other equivalent examination from a recognized University/Board.

  • a) For admission to an Honours course, students must secure a minimum of 45% in the total aggregate at the 10+2 level or 45% in the concerned subject.
  • b) Students who have completed a Diploma/Certificate course after passing class 10, with a minimum duration of two or more years from a recognized University/Board, UGC, or AICTE, are also eligible for admission to the First Semester.
  • c) Students may shift from the Science stream to Commerce or Arts, or from Commerce to Arts, provided they have secured a minimum of 45% marks in the aggregate at the 10+2 level.
  • d) Science and Commerce students who have secured a minimum of 45% marks in English in their 10+2 level examination are also eligible for admission to the English Honours program.
