About Assam Skill University (ASU): Assam Skill University (ASU) was established in September 2020 through the Assam Skill University Act passed by the Assam Legislative Assembly. The university aims to integrate skills education with higher education, focusing on applied research, entrepreneurship, and industry-relevant training. ASU’s vision is to become a leading institution with advanced facilities, helping to boost the productivity and competitiveness of Assam and the North Eastern Region.
ASU started its academic journey in 2024-25 from its city campus at Birubari, Guwahati, within the ITI-Guwahati campus. The main campus, located in Mangaldai (Darrang district), will be operational from the 2025-26 academic session. This location offers excellent connectivity to major transport networks, making it accessible for students from across Assam and neighboring regions.

Assam Skill University: Scholarships
Assam Skill University (ASU) offers several scholarships to support students in their academic journey. One of the prominent opportunities is the ADB-ROK Scholarship, which enables outstanding students and faculty from ADB partner universities to pursue higher studies in the Republic of Korea. This scholarship covers a range of programs, including a year of Korean language training followed by master’s or doctoral degrees in fields like humanities, engineering, sciences, and more. Applicants must be under 40 years old for master’s and under 45 for doctoral programs, and must obtain a recommendation from the university’s designated Nodal Officer before applying.
